Irvin Kershner dies at 87

It has been a long time since I updated this blog. This particular tragedy has brought me back to it.

Irvin Kershner, who directed The Empire Strikes Back, died at his home after being ill for quite some time. Kershner was 87.

Kershner is most famous for three of his movies, including the aforementioned The Empire Strikes Back, along with Robocop 2 and Never Say Never Again. He will be missed by both the Sci-Fi and film communities.

Kershner always had a place in my heart because of his work on Star Wars. He made memorable characters more memorable and made scenes that would forever go down in film history as memorable moments (i.e. “Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father…..”).

R.I.P Mr. Kershner. You will be remembered.
